Purchase: Napa Valley Merlot. Tasted at the winery on a trip to Napa. Cost is $85.
Likes: The wine had a great aroma and flavor. Lots of structure and a great finish.
Dislikes: Probably the price was the big drawback. While there was lots to like about the wine, the price was more than I was willing to spend. $85 is a little steep for me.
Quality: Quality was top-notch. Aromas of cherry with some toasted oak and vanilla. Flavors of cherry and spice with a lingering finish.
Summary: A fantastic tasting wine that sticks with you for a long time. A little to pricy for me, but on flavor alone, it is a winner.
